Cornus Sanguinea is a native shrub of Europe and Asia with hardwood and blood red stems and leaves. This shrub can grow to heights of 10 metres and looks great when planted alongside evergreen plants. It is tolerant to a wide range of soil types and produces the brightest bark when planted in full sun. Cornus Sanguinea also brings white flowers in summer, colourful berries and gorgeous autumn foliage.

Pomegranates (Punica Granatum Melograno Nano) are a rounded shrub with glossy, narrowly oblong leaves, bronze in spring, and funnel-shaped bright scarlet flowers. Place in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil. Happy to be kept outside most of the year, however, if below 4 degrees it is advised to bring indoors. Pomegranates are self-fertile, so a single plant will produce fruits.

Eucalyptus Cinerea 'Silver Dollar' Pyramid evergreen tree, with a dense canopy of striking silver-blue foliage, about 10-15m tall. The bark is grey-brown over reddish-brown and vertically fissured. Glaucous, greyish-blue, rounded juvenile leaves to 8cm long and intermediate foliage, lasts on the tree for many years, and is covered in a highly ornamental white, waxy bloom. Adult foliage is a dull, sage-green and sickle-shaped, but rarely appears. White flowers are produced in late spring, followed by funnel-shaped woody fruit. The foliage and wood is strongly fragrant of eucalyptus oil.

Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’ is a compact, mounding-forming ornamental grass that has striking blue foliage. They are semi evergreen and the foliage darkens in the winter month.

Fig Trees (Ficus Carica ) are renowned for its distinctively lobed and palmate leaves which exhibit a lush tropical look. The foliage is thick and leathery, making them resistant to drought. They will grow best when grown in a south or south-west facing aspect where it will produce its abundant crop of purple-brown, pear-shaped fruit with red flesh.

Grapefruit Trees (Citrus × Paradisi) provide an instant Mediterranean feel to a garden or patio. Citrus trees boast glossy dark green foliage producing beautifully fragrant white flowers throughout early spring followed by fruit sets in summer. Grapefruit trees are self-fertile so a single tree provides both flowers and fruit.
