Commonly known as Japanese Holly Ilex Crenata is a slow-growing evergreen shrub. Its small, glossy, ovate to rounded leaves up to 2cm long emerge pale green before maturing to a dark green color; small white flowers are born in spring and may be followed by small, glossy, blackberries. These topiary balls make perfect doorway ornaments or statement pieces in a flower bed.
