Dicksonia Antarctica

Dicksonia Antarctica is a species of evergreen tree fern native to eastern Australia. The slow-growing fern is characterised by the broad fibrous trunk which is crowned by widely arching palm-like dark green fronds. 

Grow well in any soil as long as the trunk is kept moist, in full sun, or partially shady spot. During the colder months protect the crown with straw to prevent snow and ice settling and fleece the trunk.
