Commonly known as Chusan palm or Chinese windmill palm, Trachycarpus fortunei is a dioecious evergreen palm with a fibre-covered trunk bearing deeply divided, fan-shaped dark green leaves to 1m in width, large arching sprays of small, light yellow flowers.
